Photography:
When
all the food is eaten and the wine has been drunk, the day is over and the dust
has settled whats left will be your memories, a few token momentos and the photographs.
These photographs will be the center of you remembering your day as all memories
fade as time goes on. They will be what you show your children and reflect on
those guests that came to celebrate your day with you.
Choosing
your photographer is one of the most important things you will do in your planning.
Good photographers don't come
cheap, so don't make the mistake of cutting corners. The reason why they don't
come cheap is because they have proven themselves over and over again with many
brides and grooms. They keep up to date with the trends and they don't simply
take pictures...they SEE things you don't, this insight enables them to capture
your day for YOU and personalise your album.
Do some research. Ask friends which photographer they used and if they were satisfied.
How much did it cost and what did they get for their money? Photographs in bridal
magazines are also a good starting point and bridal shows are a good place to
talk to photographers and see their work. Always
ask to see a photographer's portfolio - that is the book of samples of their best
work. Normally you will need to
see examples of the photographers past work, and meet the photographer to discuss
what you are after, price is of course important for you but you should also look
to skill and personality, an experienced photographer will make your day 10 times
easier. here are some questions
to answer: do
they shot black and white photos
do
they do lingerie pictures?
Is
there a limit on photographs taken?
do
they attend the reception?
