Health & Fitness:

The more you do, the more you can do.

Health and fitness is vitally important always but more so when the pressure is on to plan a wedding. The amount of planning and concerntration that you will have to do to keep it all together will mean you'll have to be at your best.

Maybe this is the reason we get married? the animal kingdoms survival of the fitest rule? What ever the reason now is the time to review what you eat, what you do, where you party and for how long or how late. A great makeup artist can't hide 6 months of late night parties.

No matter what your build, short, tall, plump or skinny this is NO indication of your fitness. Many overweight people are actually fitter than a slim built person. You are what you eat and one secret to fitness is.......WATER, so simple, drink as much as you can get, as often as you can. Yes you may end up taking more "breaks" but this will help flush the toxins in your body.

Some may say "your holding excess water" this is technically untrue, what you are holding is excess toxins that are holding the water in. Which means DE-TOX and things will start to look brighter.

You tongue is a good indicator of unsavoury living.

Exercise, don't go out and kill yourself but start to exercise, this fits into the "more you do, the more you can do" theory. Park slightly further from work each day, give yourself extra time to get to work but walk a little further. Simple differences like this will create amazing results.

"IF you continue to do the same things, YOU WILL continue to get the same results" Its a fact, review what you eat, when you eat, how much you eat and look for potential changes. Lets face it most people could eat better.

If you can't do it alone, ask someone to help you. Let them be critical and prepare yourself for the critisism, don't look to what they do in their life.. this is your journey.

Have a check up with your doctor, not just a "breath in" "cough" check up, when booking the appointment tell the person you want a thorough check up and that they should let the doctor know this. It may mean that you need to be the first appointment of the day ( we all know what doctors are like by 3pm!).

No matter what age you are, have this check up. A blood test for colesterole can be a good indicator of your overall fitness. If your doctor won't spend the time to give you a check up, your seeing the wrong doctor!

Stress is one of the biggest killers of males in the world today, don't discount this for yourself. Mental fitness is primary in planning a wedding, when things go wrong etc it is your ability to handle these enivitable events that will end up making your day carefree.

This advise to follow will be hard to understand at first, BUT it has been proven over and over again by brides for centuries (those daring to do this)...TAKE a break. no not 10 mins, a good LONG weekend somewhere near your wedding date. Yes, get lost, go away, no phones, let the mahem roll on, your having a break. You've heard of people going to live in London for 3 years, they come back and nothing has changed! well thats what will happen if you get away, take the bridesmaids for a weekend alone and just CHILL. It doesn't have to be expensive just AWAY.
