Guest accommodation:

Don't forget the humble guest. Many have come along way to celebrate with you and some will rely totally on you to suggest a place to stay, hopefully we will make this task a little easier. The things to consider when suggesting guest accommodation are:

Delegate someone to go view the accommodations. If you have time, go yourself.

Remember that your guests will have different expectations, suggest low, medium and luxury accommodations for them to choose from.

Accommodation places are often happy to hold a certain number of rooms for a period of time whilst your invitations go out, create a RSVP to the accommodation places and your guests can then book within that time period.

If you block book, your guests may be located in the same area of the motel, that way they can share things they have forgotten, get to know each other and organise taxi's to cut costs.

You may have to look at a couple of accommodation places depending on the amount of out of town guests you have coming.

Try to pick locations close to the reception venue to cut transport costs for guests.

Check what time your guests will be able to get into their rooms and what time is checkout?

Are there other facilities close by eg: hairdressers, makeup, shops for those forgotten items?

Once you have selected the accommodations, DON'T get involved. you have to much else to do, delegate the accommodations to the groom.
