Bridal Gown:Start
early seems to be the catch cry of planning a wedding and its no different when
it comes to choosing you bridal gown. After all its the most important dress of
your life. Just finding the dress
may take some time and you should decide whether you will buy or hire, this will
help you focus in on which designs are available for you to choose from. The
good news is that pure white on white is slipping as the norm, today we are seeing
a huge range of fabrics and tints available. Ivory, Gold, Cream even an overlay
of black lace the choices are growing everyday. Add to this bows, pearls, embroidery
and ribbons and you selection increases again. A
trend is for simple and elegant, this may allow the dress to be altered slightly
after your wedding so it can be worn to other functions. A long train could be
detachable and the sleeves later removable, leaving you with a slick evening gown
of satin. Don't forget to contemplate
how lingerie will fit under your gown, if you have boning in the dress this may
not fit in with boning in lingerie. Always
try on several styles - you may be surprised just how good a dress can look on
compared to seeing it on the rack. Do this at the start of your shopping day not
the end, you will be fresh and comfortable without the stickness of hours of shopping
malls. Try to wear a strapless bra so you can see how the design will look, strapless
gown or not. Certain designs
can suit certain body shapes better than others, the material used in the dress
will give a different feeling of femininity for each bride, some necklines won't
suit you and others will, sleeves or no sleeves may depend on the time of year
your getting married. Think about
where your ceremony will be held, you don't want to drag a long train along a
beach yet it will look spectacular down the aisle of a cathedral. Winter or Summer,
what will the temperature be? the wedding day can be long day and you don't want
to be concerned about your dress. |
