Wedding transport:

Transport on your day not only needs to be functional but well choreographed. There are many people travelling around to all end up in the one spot at the right time.

Yes, the bride is the most important person on the day and she should have what ever the style of her wedding desires. Don't however forget the bridesmaids. mother and father of the bride in your preparations.

There will be a need for 3 groups to be organised,

The bride with father of the bride

The bridesmaids with mother of the bride, flowergirls and pageboy

The groom, groomsmen and grooms parents.

The groom and best man will generally need to arrive at the ceremony location well before the service time, to meet with the officiant and have some photographs taken with his family..

The bride and bridesmaids will need to arrive at least 5 minutes before the service to give you time to relax a little and make sure your dress, veil etc is looking 100%, this will also give you a buffer zone if traffic is slow.

A professional hire car driver can help things run smoothly and make sure the whole bridal party arrives at the right place at the right time.

There are many different types of transport available from Horse drawn carriages to the Rolls Royce, old Chevs, Stretch Limos and Convertibles this list goes on and on.

Having a professional driver to drive you will ensure a stress free day as well as you won't have to bother a guest/ friend to stay under the limit for your party.

The transport can be decided well in advance and you can then get on with the finer details

Some transport companies will even offer champagne and nibbles, as part of the package. Its a good idea to have something organised for you to drink and eat after the ceremony, generally when you go off to have photographs taken, as you will find you will get hungry once the nerves have gone.

The photographer and transport company will get together to organise where you will go for photos, your role when booking the transport is to ensure you are VERY clear about how long you want to have the cars for. Establish this with the photographer and think about your sit down time at the reception venue. Also do you require the transport to come back at the end of the reception and take you somewhere? This is best confirmed in writting once you have decided on the transport.
