Groom: Well, there is much
to do. This will of course depend on the complexity of your wedding but here are
some things to think about and adapt to yourself. 6
- 12 Months Before:
Buy the ring. Don't think about it, don't promise to get it next payday! Just
buy the ring.
Sit
down with your fiancée and set the date and type of wedding you want.
Start
thinking about your guest list.
Discuss and finalise a budget with your fiancée.
Select
your best man and the other members of your wedding party.

Shop
with fiancée for a wedding band that goes with her engagement ring and your ring.
Complete
guest list and include names, addresses and phone numbers. This will take some
time.
Start
thinking of the honeymoon, and begin working with a travel agent. Be fair to them
if you are just tyre kicking at the start.
Select
tuxedo or suit or suitable attire with your fiancée. Think ahead to what the weather
is likely to be like on the day.
Try
to have your best man with you to get a good fitting, or have the measurements
of all attendants in your party to take with you.
Choose reception music. Band, DJ, Soloist?. Think about the range of guests.
If
you don't already live together discuss your post-wedding living arrangements.
You go to her, she comes to you or you start afresh in a new location?
Confirm
with your employers the dates of your wedding and honeymoon.

the budget - how's it going ?
